The final day of the Horror-athon very much delivered. This game features survival horror aspects with a little bit of puzzle solving and exploration. The movement features a unique take on tank controls which makes this game really tough and very scary.

Coming near the end of the Horror-athon, The Copper Hill features a beautifully modeled cityscape to explore. The gameplay is all about collecting stuff as you explore the city with a couple puzzles. The lore sprinkled throughout adds a lot to the mystery of this town, but I think the most memorable part of this game is the ending.

Massive trigger warning for domestic/child abuse. Early on in the blog we were treated with this haunting game. The plot is everything for this game, featuring an absolutely crushing story with twists and genuinely shocking moments, even for seasoned horror fans. This game is sure to leave an impact on you in one way or another, personally I thought it was tasteful and horrifying.

Midway through the Horror-athon we played this gem. Instead of plot, this game specs fully into gameplay. Your goal is to snuff out 'Veils' in a prison, who look and sound like humans, by interviewing them and performing physical tests. This game uses AI for, I think, the dialogue of the prisoners and really makes you feel like a monster. Its such a blast to play.

Day 1 of the challenge was really hard to top, I messed up by picking each game the same day because I would've definitely saved this for the end otherwise. Funeralopolis has some of the best graphics and storytelling of any game on the list, this game is really a masterpiece in indie PSX horror. The worldbuilding is excellent and the characters all feel like real people. The atmosphere in this game is also unmatched. If nothing else, play Funeralopolis | Last Days.

A really fun demo, if this was a full game I could easily see it being top 2. This game really feels like it could've been on the PS1.

I really echo the sentiment of Heartworm that this could've been top 2 or 3 if it was a full game. The atmosphere in this game is probably the best of any game I played for the blog and the gameplay and plot was really solid.
