"The Copper Hill" by petrol //Day 24

-The Copper Hill is dense and beautiful-

The Copper Hill doesn't hold anything back with it's aesthetic. This short game that came in at just around 10 minutes of gameplay, which was spent collecting electronics, exploring the beautiful PSX town, and learning about its history. Its history being a vague story about malfunctioning mining equipment that maybe led to a disaster? There are also fun carryable objects that can collide with the environment which are fun to to mess around with and to boost yourself up to places you shouldn't be.

My favorite part of the experience was easily the graphics. The environment here consists of a small eastern european-looking town littered with spare metals and wood. Its centerpiece being a massive pile of discarded and bent metal beams covered in rust. If you look close you can tell that, while its a relatively small setting, petrol definitely spent a great deal of time with his attention to detail. The verticality of the buildings was really what pulled me and the moment when you actually get to scale up one of the buildings and see it from above was awesome.
