"OYASUMII" (Demo) by NEO PROJECT STUDIOS //Day 22

-OYASUMII is a liminal horror fans wetdream-

For the first 5 or so minutes of gameplay, you might think you downloaded the wrong game.

"It said "Horror" in the tags, right?"

Then it hits you. Everything changes and the real game begins. The crisp movement stays, though.

Through the 20 or so minutes I had with this demo were spent crawling through PSX/N64 dreamscapes, describing different scenarios I had absolutely no context for and the more I read into and tried understanding, the less I did. This game looks and sounds gorgeous with environments that depict what a 3D Yume Nikki may have looked like. Most of the gameplay is walking around linear levels, which I didn't mind because of how gorgeous they were, or you would be walking around a maze. I didn't care for the latter as much.

I'm also not positive that the game ended where I stopped playing it. There was no indication but I lost control of the camera and no inputs did anything, if that is the ending of the demo it could've been a little more clear. I wish I got to see the purple-haired character that's on the front steam page, but Hal (aka no face) was cool.

I'm really excited for the full release and will definitely be playing it.
